Lucas

To go with my blog about me shaving my head, I got to meet a kid named Luke F. Luke is 3 years old, and just recently he was diagnosed with cancer. I feel very blessed to have met him, I feel like now I have a better understanding of how cancer affects the rest of the world. Now I am a little late on blogging about him seeing as how I met him before the event. Thankfully he has started chemo, the cancer has started to decrease, and Luke is on the mend. I am very thankful to have met Luke and will continue to be praying for Luke and that he would make a full recovery.
Continue to check back for a picture.

St. Baldricks Cancer Foundation

Once again sorry that I haven't blogged in a while. So, I will catch you guys up. I recently became involved in an organization called the St. Baldricks Foundation. It is an organization that helps raise money to fund reseach for children who have cancer. It is a really neat organization, and I feel very grateful to have been able to be involved in it. What I went in and tried to raise as much money as possible, which in turn would go to help fund research for kids who have cancer. Then all the people who were involved in it would meet(in my case at the Claddaugh Irish Pub), and we would all get our heads shaved. Now for those of you who don't know me, I grow my hair out really long, and for me to get my hair cut is pretty crazy. On Sunday between 1 and 2 o'clock I proceeded to get my head shaved. Now this picture is the only one i could find where my head was completely shaved. Enjoy!!!

Good Advice

Have you ever had that one person that you could really confide in? Mine is my Uncle Fred. My Uncle Fred is a person that I really look up to. He is the Senior Minister at Ionia County Church of Christ, and a great uncle. I have known Fred for a long time, and I have really grown to trust him a lot. He has been known from time to time to offer some very good advice to me. He has been through high school just like me and so every once and a while he'll have a new peice of advice for me. Whether it be about how to stay ahead academically in school or just life advice. Although just recently he offered me a peice of advise, and I have to say that I think it is really going to help me in the future. I really have a lot to thank my Uncle Fred for, he has been there with good advice whenever I need it. Really all I can say is Thanks! Oh and Fred if you are reading this, the advice was very helpful. I took action right away. Thanks!!!

Havent Blogged In a While

Have you ever had that time in your life when things are just absolutely crazy. School, things at home, after school stuff, stuff on the weekends. I have to say it has been really crazy these last coulple of weeks. I have been really busy with school and youth group and what not. And to top all the craziness off you have these things that jump and catch you off your guard, you know the things you don't expect to happen and the BAM!!! Your wrong because it just hapenned. Thats kind of the way it has been in my life lately, and "Frankly" you just have to step back and take a look at everything, and then try and find the best in all of it. Tomorrow though I am gonna have my first real chance to kind of sit back and have a good time for the night. We are hosting a super bowl party at my house, as a youth group event. It is going to be a lot of fun. The game, 360, Wii, cards. The whole thing. Needless to say I am super excited.
